Looks like a lot of people here either didn't like it and want it out of the top 250, and others who liked but think it's overrated.

I thought this film was phenomenal, start to finish. You do get a Godfather-esque vibe to it in parts of the film, but I think this is grittier and more truthful (I think The Godfather is better, and is one of the greatest films ever).

This is one of the best Indian films I've ever seen. As an Indian-American who tries to find underrated Indian gems that get overlooked for silly melodramas, GoW was a real treat. I recommend to anyone who's a fan of good cinema and who's nor racist like some of the fools on this board.

Totally agree. It's a gem. It's just that the haters tend to be more vocal on forums and message boards which makes the IMDb user believe that people aren't liking it.
Most of the people I know speak highly of this film.
