Finished S1, rooting for the 'baddies'

Anyone else constantly rooting for what they're aiming to do? I didn't really like the main character too much until about halfway through when she started realised how the future is bad with the corporations ruling. I do think agree with the murdering all the innocents but the fact I still want them to succeed in bringing the evil corporations down makes it rather hard to watch and confusing.

In short the way I see it Liber8 are, well, trying to free the people in the end. She's trying to stop them...

Makes you think a lot of how things go on here doesn't it, especially over in the US were corporations fund so much in the government

That's the beauty of this show- you don't really know for whom you should be rooting- who really are the baddies?

That's what they were going for, but they failed at it. Their ambiguity wasn't very ambiguous.

WORDS MEAN THINGS! Also, before you come to bitch about a plot hole, rewatch the show/movie.

Yeah, I quit rooting for Kiera too. It just seems like she was being controlled by some evil greedy corporate thugs who are controlling her thoughts and memories.

I think it is an error to see it as a choice between Team Kiera and Team Liber8.

I think as you said you cannot agree with the murder of innocents as a way to get attention, as Liber8 does. By doing that Liber8 becomes as bad as the evil they claim to oppose. They are emotional slogan chanting thugs. Like all violent radicals, they claim that since they oppose some kind of oppression, that they are justified in doing violence to innocent people.

Corporations governing the country (something which is largely happening right now) is of course a bad thing. And the show depicts some of this evil from time to time.
Kiera doesn't defend evil practices. She is simply fighing against an outlaw, mass murdering radical group.

Some people seem to feel they must defend the actions of Liber8 if they oppose corporations dictatorial government. But that is a false choice. You don't have to defend mass murder of innocent people in order to oppose dictatorships.

I support Kiera's actions since she is trying to defend people and bring criminals to justice. And I oppose dictatorial corporate governments.
I don't have to defend mass murderers to do either.
