I liked it
Well acted and very well shot. I enjoyed the fact that Borgman's motives were never truly made clear. The film teased. Few different explanations and obviously has something to say about economic class, but I do not feel there was any definitive "right" interpretation. It is therefore a movie that demands a lot of the viewer without an obvious payoff / conclusion. I thought it was a little overlong and started repeating itself a little - but this is a criticism I have of many movies over the 90 minute mark. Reminded me most closely of Dogtooth in its sort if queasy, insinuating tone. Borgman is European all the way - I just any imagine much of an audience or this kind of absurdist film with no conclusion.
Anyway, I'd recommend it to fans if Michael Haneke, Ben Wheatley and other adventurous viewers.
