Garbage

I was expecting a documentary. Not an assortment of comments from people I don't care about.

I held out after the UFC moron but, when the fag from Black Eyed Peas started talking about his life and how Bruce Lee helped him with his "music" I turned off the TV.

I'm so angry right now. Why can't you Americans make a god damn decent normal documentary.

And don't tell me this was intended as an inspiration tale. *PUUUUKE

I was really looking forward to this move. :(

There is a lot of rare footage of bruce lee that they are not showing. Its time to stop being so damn greedy and show it, stop messing about already.

Bruce lee is very mysterious, show some home footage of him. SHow him sparring with Bob Wall!
Famous celebrities and sports stars saying they are fans of bruce lee has been done enough already, and while thats all well and good bruce lee being respected some rare footage in these docs would be welcome.

also funny how know one wanted to touch on the fact where he was found dead.
sure the wife mentioned a little, but she didn't give her opinion on the matter,
even bruce said, he was not saint!
was he having an affair or just shagging around?
did he smoke marijuana? and if so why? why didnt the wife comment about why he smoked drugs, why he was cheating on her, where was his frame of mind at that time, why he becoming the prima donna movie star? was he becoming like so many other celebrities are getting lost in all the girls, money, fame and drugs?

no one wanted to mention that...
and why not mention of brandon , ok sure this is about bruce.. but still./.
I mean they were only showing footage from clips we have all seen before from other documentaries.. so why not tell us something new?????

reply

He would never have smoked anything, but like a traditionalist, chewing the leaves and making them in to tea is not uncommon.

you speak the words of truth just watched this today v.disappointed, MMA fighters are idiots and cannot relate themselves to Bruce Lee, also you are so correct Senna was a fantastic docu in comparison to this.

reply

Thank you for your comment. Now I know. The rating seemed to be completely off in compare to what the trailer showed (of which I thought about exactly as you described, "WTF is this load of crap?").
Bruce Lee would make a eternal fly kick to their faces if he saw this, I guess.

reply

I agree.

reply

It seems that you might not have learned anything from Bruce Lee with such a vile post.

"I held out after the UFC moron"
"when the fag from Black Eyed Peas"
"I'm so angry right now"

Even Chuck Norris wasn't seen, only archives

totally agree with the OP

the only thing i liked was the people UNDERSTANDING the non whites struggling to be heard

i.e the chuck norris scene

but hey it hasn't really changed, people still talk about chuck norris, why? because his white, his a nobody without bruce he'd still be all talk about world championships thinking his good because he has trophies...yeah go fight people with knives and chains THEN come back and talk about worlds greatest fighter

and back to racism, why do people in video games like 'street fighter' people pick ken even though his EXACTLY like ryu in the old days? because ken is white and american

RACISM !!!

reply

Agree. This was just a fanboy wank fest and unfortunately a lot of documentaries nowadays are getting like this.

Putting people in there who have little to no relationship with the topic just so the filmmakers can present it as being 'relevant' and 'hip' to younger generations of dweebs.

blah...

reply

Yes. But - I knew very little about Bruce Lee so it was somewhat educational.

reply

If you watched this pile of garbage, you still know very little about Bruce Lee. The best documentary about Bruce is called A Warrior's Journey and How Bruce Lee Changed the World is not too bad either. But this is not worth the time to watch. It's sad to see that his daughter was executive producer of both this and the Chinese joke of a television series.

I find it weird to have a bunch of celebrities, some who weren't born when he was alive, talking about Bruce Lee. I mean the guy from Married With Children? A basketball player?

So I get your point. And the constant use of text in sync with what they are saying... it was like "okay, not everything is so profound".
