There should have been a scene where Coin's 75 year old parents put out a hit to kill Katniss for killing their daughter and Katniss is forced by Haymitch and Effie to go into hiding for her safety. This would have been a great scene! :D

I thought that "going into hiding" was the real reason Paylor and the others sent her to District 12 in the end. You don't need "75-year-old parents"; there were probably a lot of Coinites that wanted to kill Katniss at the end.
shareI thought she was sent to District 12 to prevent the military from killing her. What I meant is not even being banished to District 12 as everyone knew that was her hometown. I meant in a very underground place that nobody really knew of. If I said a place like Anoka (in Nebraska ) a lot of people would not know what the hell I was talking about. ;) So they could have sent Katniss to the Anoka of Panem for her safety. :)
