I am so tired of the BR trolls coming here and libeling Suzanne Collins

Hunger Games was a great series. Whoever heard of a writer plagiarizing someone else's story and writing a BETTER story than what they plagiarized? And not only better written (IMNSHO), but selling movie tickets like hotcakes?

BR trolls, zip it and go somewhere else. Everyone else here is too polite to say that, but I'm tired of your trash-talk.

No it didn't. They both featured the same historical characters is all. They told the stories in completely different ways. Anthony Mann was a rradically different director from Ridley Scott. Historical/Biographical films are going to have some similarities but they don't have to borrow from each other. They are genre films, they have the same tropes is all. Geesh, next you'll be saying 'Carry On up the Kyber Pass' borrowed from 'Gunga Din'. Actually , maybe it did...a little. 'Carry On Cowboy' had sixgons and horse just like a real Western. You don't know a heck of a lot about genres, do you?

You have proof, I suppose. By which I mean "stands up in court" proof, not "My IMDB friends all know this is true!!!" proof.

reply

Do You have proof that Collins didn't rip off Battle royal? Not just Her word, real proof.

I did not buy this film here, instead I watched it on Netflix.

Huh? Mockingjay Part One is not on Netflix yet, it's still in theaters.

So of course SC ripped it off, because it's not possible that she never heard of the book. Plus, she's fluent in written Japanese. /sarcasm

I think it's hilarious that you throw out this libelous accusation, you offer no proof, and then you take it further by slandering not only Collins, but also Hunger Games fans like me.

SC's father served in Vietnam. Sarah Palin has served not one day in any branch of the US military, ditto Dick Cheney, ditto Karl Rove. You want to see draft-dodgers? Turn on Faux Noose.

YES. Because it is impossible to prove a negative (Logic 101), so it is impossible for her to prove that she didn't plagiarize. It is up to BR trolls to prove that she has indeed plagiarized—and they never have, beyond, "Well, the two stories look the same TO ME."

Can you prove to me that you never, ever, not once, have committed murder, Neuenschwander9? Because I guarantee you, no matter what argument you put forth, somebody somewhere will have a rebuttal. Logically, "Suzanne Collins needs to prove that she didn't plagiarize BR" and "Joe Blow needs to prove that he's not a jihadist axe-murderer child-molester" are equally impossible statements.

Was this post supposed to be in English? If English is not your first language I can forgive it's incomprehensibility, if is supposed to be in English...what are you posting about?
