Why 'The Look Of Love'?

I know it's the done thing to name a period movie after a song from the era, but there's usually some logic, however tenuous, behind the decision. I can't see any reason why this title was chosen.

No it's not...

All it says in the trivia is why it was not named " The King of Soho". It does not explain why the movie was called " The Look of Love"

I can't see any reason why this title was chosen.

In watching the movie, I can think of several reasons but I believe this one to be the best (for me at least): Because regardless of everything else you see, this movie is about his love for his daughter Debbie.

It's a reference to the Dusty Springfield song Debbie sings at the end of the movie, written by Burt Bacharach and Hal David. The connection between the movie and the song lies in the track's composition and the character of Honey Rider in the James Bond movie "Dr. No".

Bacharach was inspired by Ursula Andress in the movie "Casino Royale" to write this song while in "The Look Of Love" Raymond tells Fiona she would do a very good Honey Ryder, that he could imagine her like Ursula Andress emerging from the waves with a dagger strapped to her thigh.

It can also be taken as a love letter between daughter and father, since Debbie sings the song before the end credits like the final curtain for the movie and her character's final goodbye.
