A really good screenrant article that I agree with

https://screenrant.com/ford-v-ferrari-rush-movie-best/

I loved both films and this article talks about the strengths and weaknesses of each movie.

But it wasn't written by a person that knew the subject matter of either movie that well because he makes statements that are simply factually wrong. That would normally not matter if someone were just comparing movies, but he is often making statements where he claims the movie deviated from reality or how the movie got things right or wrong... fine and dandy if you know what your talking about but he doesn't... There are numerous factual issues with Ford vs Ferrari, he misses them and has the following statement which really makes no sense:

"For example, Miles’s death occurs from a fatal car crash while he is testing the J-type. It disappears around a sharp corner and crashes. In reality, the J-type rolled several times, throwing Miles out of the vehicle."

What was the problem he was pointing out? Miles died by being thrown out of the car you never see the wreck in the movie so how do you know how he died in the car... yes at some point later in the film someone makes a statement about sometimes the drivers don't get out... well you could take that literally as in he was trapped in the car or figuratively in that sometimes they don't get out of the car alive. Either way the film shows him crashing in the distance where it is unclear what really happens to him and he dies.. Seemed pretty straight forward and accurate.

Then he mentions that you don't need to hear the sounds in Rush because you are already familiar with Lewis Hamilton in Formula 1 so you know the sounds... well the fact is the sounds of a F1 car in the 70's was completely different from one you hear today. Engines have gone through several major changes through the years and the sounds from them vary dramatically from the screaming bee sounds of a V12 to the vacuum cleaner sound of the cars today. So that whole statement made no sense and indicated he really had no clue about F1.

It was an interesting article but really amounted to little more than a clickbait top 10 list.

Well I think it was just an example that the Car Crash in Ford vs Ferrari wasn’t as exact as it happened in Rush.

You are right Ford vs Ferrari got the basics just fine but I the writer of the article meant that Rush made things just exactly as it happened in real life.

But hey it’s true that while Chris Hemsworth and Daniel Brhul gave amazing performances in Rush. The star power of Mat Damon and Christian Bale is what made the film much more notorious to Everyone and well and the advertising let’s be honest Rush was barley advertised.

I watched this thanks to a review I watched on tv about the movie. I remember It was a show in my country ( Mexico) called Farándula 40 and the hosts were praising that film so I made family go to the movies to watch it and we all loved it.

But I guess if it wasn’t for it I wouldn’t have seen it.

Rush was way better. Shame it was almost completely ignored.

I think the glaring issue with Ford vs Ferrari was how badly cast Damon was for Shelby... way too short and not much of a resemblence to him at all.

Actors in Rush looked much closer to how they should have looked.
