Booth has been paid money for it so he will obviously like it. Agatha Christie's descendants like the execrable ITV travesties of 'Miss Marple' for much the same reason.

edit: Okay, so Rutherford wasn't in any BBC productions. She was still fun.

Re Booth: I see where you're going with his comment, and I agree. He's pretty to look at, but his face has no character and hardly a whit of intelligence. I think the producers wanted a Justin Bieber clone to draw teenage girls. Sigh.

I'm old and crochety, so perhaps I shouldn't give them young 'uns such a hard time, but I'd wager neither he nor the gal who played Estella even read the book.
