Yeah, he totally should've been cast as Estelle. I found him off putting. I wish they had found someone who looked like the kid Pip grown up.

Well said! His pouty lips are downright weird looking. And Estella is a big let down.

Estella definitely pales in comparision, but maybe it was just bad lighting? He looks like a life-size Ken doll. He acts like one too, so far at least. But I guess I haven't seen enough to judge.

Oh, thank you for researching that. He behaves genuinely and acts fantastically.

Also, yes, adolescent Pip does initially seem miscast. Maybe because the audience feels disappointed to realize that Young Pip suddenly comes of age that it's difficult to embrace him with open arms immediately.

I too enjoyed the performance of young Pip. He was very believable. I think older Pip was a miscast.

Why do people treat "feminine"-looking males badly? "He looks like a Ken doll", "he looks weird". Everywhere you go, those are the comments people make about more feminine men. Does it make people uncomfortable that he's not hairy and sweaty with square features and thin lips? He's not arrogant or up himself because he born looking like that.
