Please anyone tell me what music is being played in episode 2 at 45 minute mark. Would be very grateful! Thanks.
shareThe music Estella plays in that scene is a variation on the piece she played in episode 1 as a young girl: "Che faro senza Euridice" from Gluck's opera Orfeo ed Euridice.
The aria is Orpheus's lament over the dead body of Eurydice. He had tried to pull her out of Hell, but failed. (An apt musical choice for the story of Pip and Estella)!
