Madhur Bhandarkar got lost in the end

The movie was great till the interval. After that Madhur Bhandarkar it appears did not know how exactly to end it! What are we to assume? That she lived happily ever after?

Yeah, your right!!! I liked Fashion more than Heroine. The protagonist in Fashion, Meghna Mathur, was more focused and knew what she had to do after she lost her way and went back to her parents. Meghna found the solutions to her problems (even if indirectly) and got her head straight towards the climax. And she was shown to live happily ever after, unlike Mahi Arora. Mahi didn't know how she should head towards the future. she seemed lost, confused and acted quite dumb. I saw no reason for her to not pick up Aryan's phone when he was about to tell her that she was selected for the role of the heroine in his film. and what happens thereafter is utterly RIDICULOUS!!! the leaking of the sex tape of her and Aryan's and the controversy which followed thereafter which ensured the success of her upcoming film!!! tccchhh!!! I thought a creative director like MB knew much better than that!!!

Very true! At one point in time I even thought he may have chosen suicide as an option - but then it would have been so like Dirty Picture then and may be MB wanted to avoid that. As a matter of fact that may have been a better ending. It appears that the death of Helen (don't remember the character's name) had triggered some kind of emotion within Mahi and the desire to continue living albeit away from trails and tribulations of the tinsel town - but then again - I did not see any kind of serious bonding between the two either to have had that effect on her.
And yet Kareena carried it through. Wonder if Aishwarya would have justified the role.

It is a bad movie from start till the end. One of the worst scenes was Kareena wanting to adopt a baby all of a sudden! And when her application is rejected she says- "I can't be a mother JUST because I am an alcoholic, on meds and suffering from bi-polar disorder!"
Seriously, who wrote this s#!t!
