It seems that this discussion touches on the whole issue of 'sources' and 'speculation'. You seem to be convinced more by the assumptions you've made based on the verb tense used in an interview. On the other hand, you don't seem to be swayed by three independent, verifiable sources that list the show as currently in production as well as one first hand report.
It's quite fine if you don't believe that I know of what I speak, but I can assure you that I do and that I didn't successfully hack the websites of ACTRA Toronto, Nabet & the Toronto Film and Television Office just to pull a funny prank on a public message board.
What's odd to me is the willingness of some folks here to make statements of "fact" that have no basis in "fact" and their absolute unwillingness to let go of their wildly speculative beliefs despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary. Go figure. I've read assertions on this board that The Firm was cancelled back in January and that all the episodes where "in the can" last December. All speculation and grossly misinformed opinion presented as fact.
But if you still choose to be swayed by what you read into Josh's use of verb tense rather than to put some stock in ACTRA, Nabet, the TFTO or whatever I have to say, then just do the math:
You yourself state that episode 13 was shooting on January 31st. You're right about that - it was day 1 of the shoot for that episode. Now do the math - that was 12 weeks ago, or 60 shooting days. An episode takes 7 or 8 days to shoot depending on the particular demands of locations and whatnot. At most, you could squeeze 8 1/2 episodes between then and now - which would put you at episode 21 - at the most.
In any case, we're not there yet. It's episode 20 right now.
But honestly, why such intense skepticism? Does anyone really pretend to be cast or crew on these boards in order to fool complete strangers into believing stuff that's not true? That would have to be the dumbest, most pointless thing I could think of right now. I read what folks are saying here because I'm curious about reaction to a project on which I've spent a lot of time working. I don't offer my own opinion, but when I see something being erroneously offered as "fact", I endeavor to correct it for the purpose of accuracy. Why would I be making this stuff up?
