I am flabbergasted this isn't more popular

I love this show and I also think Josh Lucas is great. I don't understand all the hate. I'll be so bummed if/when this gets cancelled.

After sticking with it for all these episodes I have to say I still love the show but can understand people hating the format. I really wanted Josh to have a hit show so it bums me out but I do get it. It's not just the actors, but the writing, producing, and direction all play major roles.

I completely agree, after watching the first couple of episodes I was hooked... BUT (and that's a huge capitalized 'BUT') if you don't religiously watch each episode, the back-and-forth format will really be confusing. What they're doing makes perfect sense to me, but I remember how the first three or four episodes were a little confusing because the flashbacks were at all different times (six weeks earlier, two weeks earlier, etc.) and I found myself trying to put the puzzle together in my mind... Eventually I figured out that it was getting closer to 'current date' and it was the writers' way to give a backstory little by little.

Was it the best idea ever? Nope, but some of us liked it -- I consider it a payoff for paying attention... but unfortunately, not enough people feel that way!

I love the show as well. They've totally abandoned the storyline of the mob coming after McDeere in recent months. I wonder if/when they are going to return to that. I'm guessing that's the season one cliff-hanger (even though it's unlikely we'll get a second season).

to me this show is in the same category as LOST and THE EVENT

something with too much suspense, too much flashback

these shows just make it like they throw in so much suspense just to move on to the next episode

and the worst part, i know if i sit down to watch it, i will just get up one hour later, having more questions than answers, which is frustrating

and i will then be forced to come back one week later to feel more frustrated

thus, i intend to watch these shows when they are fianlly over - when i can watch the suspense and have an ending

of course, that's just me
