Episode 16 (Spoilers)

I watched episodes 1-15 in one feel swoop this week and was totally hooked. Unfortunately, episode 16 jumped the shark for me.

I am totally unable to conceive that Stack was such a wacko that he would kill to save lives. If he considered himself the "true" healer, he wouldn't torture completely innocent women or kill innocent men no matter how much he wanted to protect the mission.

What a botched up writing job. You can't characterize someone who so firmly believes he is a healer he hires a bunch of brainwashed wackos to kill terminally ill patients to help them save money, and on the other hand, have him kill the very people they swore to protect.

The Firm jumped the shark for me. Sad, because it had so much potential.

I agree. The writing took a dumb turn in Episode 16. All along, he's been a ruthless killer trying to save a medical company millions of dollars. Now we're supposed to believe he's on a mission and believes Americans have too much hope in medicine.

I hesitate to say the show has jumped the shark. This storyline is obviously over and we're on to the next (I'm guessing it will involve the mob coming after McDeere).

At this point I don't care. I'm glad this whole storyline is done and over with lol. Let's hope they can redeem themselves with the 6 episodes remaining.

kevin stack explained the reasoning behind the mission and it's crystal clear,
it's a bit overzealous but it makes perfect sense,

it really does seem absurd to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on a terminal patient just for them to live 2 more months if that money could go to saving or helping the lives of curable people

Yes and no. People like President Obama and Barney Frank will spout "greatest good" or "greatest impact". But...would you really seek a cure for the common cold at the expense of cancer research? Or AIDS research? And if they REALLY meant "greatest impact", would they REALLY push for AIDS research when AID is far less prevalent than the common cold? Would anyone, for that matter?

Kevin Stack used the "what we healed and sent home wasn't the person we knew" crap is just that, crap. We heal and send soldiers home, regardless of severity, because of what Mitch echoed. They gave of themselves in service to us, the U.S. of A. To decide what the "remainder" of a life is worth is, as Mitch pointed out, "playing God".

finally, no need to expect another episode that goes nowhere

i have to thank the writers for episode 14

finally, he is realizing that all these stupid suspense is a result of one man's persistence to try to get some proof to put some bad guys away

what the heck?

great plot if he's alone, not so watchable when he had family to take care

and the part about killing the wife, one second yes, next second they have enough reason to keep her alive

one second, in jail, next second bargain with feds again

this show is done, every episode is the same, one step forward, one step back

if anyone is keen to start watching, don't bother, just wait for confirmation that they cancel the show, then watch the LAST episode

read the book, watch the movie, they are much better
