ummmm... no, they clearly said that after 10 years they decided to leave the program after the mob leader died. Then they went back to their real names. The fbi guy said it was stupid, but that's what Mitch wanted.
One problem I had was that the FBI guy should've told everyone in the family about the mafia kid becoming Godfather.
Instead, he just tells Mitch, who it seems, is just going to sit on that info and hope nothing happens.
You could chalk this up to bad writing or they're painting the portrait of Mitch being a smart guy, who just isn't as smart as he thinks he is and that he has something of a selfish streak to his personality ( determined to make a name for himself as a lawyer even though it puts his family at risk).
And this guy burned his own firm in what would have been ground-shaking gossip in law firms everywhere. I doubt very much Mitch McDeere could ever practice law again, much less be approached by another firm. Maybe he could become an unseen paralegal, but the use of his real name (even after 10 years) and joining the second-largest law firm puts an enourmous target on his back. It's way too dangerous.
I wonder if the mob found Mitch by looking him up on linkedin
good point. the idiocy in this show's writing should have been obvious from the beginning. i feel like a moron for watching this through to the end - AGH!
Harris' books are lame! TB is titillating stuff, elevating mundane writing to actual entertainment.
