The Firm - sometimes uneven---but sometimes GREAT! BACKSTORY needed!

Noone's safe in the McDeere Family!

I loved the book and thot the Tom Cruise film actually improved Grisham's book.

Thinking that the first episode could have better set the stage for people unfamiliar with the book/movie...

Now...in true Grisham style, McDeere is tangled up with the sadistic Joey Morolto Jr....and possibly the Russian Mob!

If you've read the book...seen the movie...you have the BACKSTORY...and understand the main players...like the FBI guy...the Moroltos, Tammy, Abby's somewhat hostile parents, the former "jailbird" brother Ray and little "Harvard Lawyer" brother Mitch...!

Hoping someone picks up this show...maybe provides a better backstory...(like a first episode hitting the highlights...of the original story) and goes forward!
