Ratings alert (fun movie)

Looking at the IMDB ratings it's pretty clear someone had an ax to grind slamming this with the lowest rating.

This is funny, light entertainment, skillfully told and directed.

"Someone" had an axe to grind about this embarrassment of a movie?!? Over 350 people gave it the rating it deserves.

What I find most insulting is the one "review" of the movie here that puts this in the same category as "Shaun of the Dead". It doesn't have one tenth of the cleverness or humor of that film. "Skillful"? I almost did a spit take reading that.

lithium452, I agree with you totally, I really enjoyed it, it was fun and entertaining, but I'm afraid we're on an island from the rest of the viewers. It happens every now and then, but very rarely is there such a gap from my opinion and the overall consensus.

If you look at my near 11,000 ratings it's safe to say I've practically seen em all. I have a ton a 1's, 2's and 3/10's rated because I generally try to watch everything, if even for a short time(10-15minutes) just in case a gem such as this may be hidden inside the tangled mess of low budget indie flicks.

I have one more flick that this same scenario came up, that being Piranha 3DD, that was a seriously, awesomely stupid funny movie. IMDb 3.8/10 my score an 8/10. I initially had it at 10/10 because it delivered maximum enjoyment properties coupled with just how bloody(and) hilarious the film was, but the damn thing kept popping up in every user ratings comparison and my one guilty pleasure was being used against me time and time again so I dropped it to a more acceptable level to which I could defend. I still f'king loved the flick if only Rodney Dangerfield was alive to star in it he would have been so righteous,

It takes nerve to start a thread for ANY film and tout it as a great film, because you immediately put a target on your back, opening yourself up as a target for negative nancies. 85% of this website is rooted in negative banter in various forms and functions and regardless of the quality of the film in question you will get this negative attack type of discussion.

Anyway glad you enjoyed Attack of the Herbals, it's been awhile since I've seen it and it's getting foggy, it's possibly I'll give it a second look if I could squeeze it in, I'm drowning in a sea of films and series and have over a 1,000 flicks bookmarked while a dozen more pop up nearly every day. It's maddening trying to pick and choose what is the best option, I find myself wasting two hours just trying to decide the best film to stream.

Just read the four user reviews for AotH, three of the four were verifiably legit and unbiased gave relatively positive reviews and even the worst review 3/10 which came from a user whose opinion I respect from his profile history and he had his reasons for not liking the film and I respect his opinion because this is in fact film and it's all subjective in the end, it imprints differently on everyone who sees it. This is the part where I've realized I've written far too much and need to STFU, pardon the "rant" happens every morning via a gallon of coffee coursing through my brain.
