We've met before, haven't we?

It was a local Atlanta indie production. They are making their way around to some of the film festivals. It premiered here in Atlanta a few months ago. It is badass. If you are lucky enough to live in a city with its limited release make sure you catch it. I don't know if there are plans to release it internationally. I do know they showed it at a Canadian film fest not too long ago though. So keep your finger crossed there Britain. Hopefully there will be a home release soon so everyone can enjoy it.

From now on I'll always be creeped out when someone asks "Want to see a magic trick?"

james, i saw your film last year while i was visiting friends in america, i have to say i didnt like it, im a big fan of the grindhouse genre but i just didnt like it, i left a one star review and it was deleted, as were a few other one star reviews, my review contained no spoilers, no offensive comments, just my honest opinion, and thats all it was, an opinion, my question to you is, do you think its fair that your audiences reviews are being deleted for giving bad reviews, because thats what it looks like to me, all the 10 star ones(which it didnt deserve, what ever i think about it, its not a 10 star film) are still there. where do you stand on this, id really love to hear your opinion on this, as user reviews should be seen as constructive critisism, not a dig at yourself or how hard you worked on the film.
looking forward to a reply

Sorry you didn't like the film. I'm in no way associated with IMDB or aware of how their content is managed. I do know they charged me $50 to put the poster with the page. That's about it. I'm not a IMDB Pro member or anything.

Where did you see the film in the States? We did a ton of work playing festivals and booking our own theatrical screenings across the US & CANADA where it played to a certain niche of low budget DIY film enthusiasts. The response has been favorable both with audiences and blogs. Last weekend at Cinema Wasteland the packed house went totally nuts for the film. The positive reviews seem to coincide with these screenings. It was never intended for a broad audience and the negative reviews seem to be related to a low resolution watermarked rough cut that someone stole from the IFM which has been pirated across Europe and the internet. Not a good way to experience the film. It is what it is.

One of my favorite negative reviews was from a writer at The Arizona Underground Film Festival. Reviews from a Spiritual Perspective is the website. The lady has a beautiful command of the English language. She gave us a wonderfully educated non-malicious and sincere thrashing. Great stuff.

Obviously, everyone is entitled to their opinion and we didn't really set out to make a film that would escape criticism. We never thought we would get any good reviews or win Best Picture at four film festivals. We make the films we want to see first and hope they find an audience. We wanted to see a violent, practical effects, shot on film, monster / biker hybrid shot like it was from the 70s. So with a couple of bucks we made the most anti-hollywood film we could.

You didn't like it and that's fine. Sorry your time was wasted. Diverse opinions make life interesting and I have no animosity towards you. I have no idea about your review. Seems like your problem is more with the mystery of IMDB than with us for making a film you loathe. Even if it criticizes what we do,we are not for censorship. Censorship would definitely squash the movies we like to make. We don't have any influence over what IMDB does. I mean seriously, our rating is terrible! Maybe you will like our next film FRANKENSTEIN CREATED BIKERS! Probably not, but that's cool too.

Cheers.
