As I understand it, it's basically going to be a documentary, expanding on the creation sequences of "The Tree of Life", kind of a companion piece.

The more I hear about TTOL the more I want to see it. Totally missed it in the cinemas, but then I haven't seen a movie there for ages and TTOL was on a strictly limited release here in London. Will watching it on a big tv screen do the film justice I wonder?
shareStrictly limited release in London? Really? TTOL only stopped screening about a week ago in London (and will probably still pop up now and again for one-off screenings), and had been playing since 8th July.
Probably just stopped because the UK Blu-ray/DVD has just been released. Watching it on a full HD TV can still do it justice and might even work better in some ways. This depends on your TV and sound quality of course. And if your speakers aren't great, use decent headphones.
