why so many female assassins attacking?

is it just me or does everytime a woman is in an action film there are alwahs an over abundance of other females that attack her. Do people not like male and female assassins fighting each other as much?

reply

In this movie they just happen to be all the other whores living in the Boss's whorehouse who got the 411 on killing her equals big reward.

In a world where headlines are dominated by domestic violence, why would we want to see a male try and kill a female?

Im not saying that im just referring to every movie with a female fighter or protagonist they nearly always create a female antagonist to fight them, so much it starts to feel shoe horned in

reply

That's my point, why would producers make male assassins out to kill females, when people would much rather see female assassins instead?

It has nothing to do with with "people wanting to see females fighting females" because thats a ridiculous sweeping statement that you can not possibly know the answer to.

The reason they do it, is because they are worried about the film being classed as being misogynistic if they have a man beating up a woman. Thats how pu$$y whipped movies have become and how affected by social justice warriors that jump on anything that isn't feminist level crazy.

By the way its a 50/50 split when it comes to domestic violence. So if it was anything to do with DV they wouldn't want women attacking men either.

reply

I think you'll find that DV is mainly about men beating up on women... not the other way around. I'm not saying it doesn't happen, just rarely.

I'd pay to watch a woman beat a man up (I can watch this scene from Fist of Justice over and over again: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QVE4mx86WZg)

I'd also pay for this woman on woman action too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vvbuYpqXQUU

I wouldn't pay to watch a man beat a woman.

Then I think you might want to look at the statistics produced by the CDC (Centre for Disease Control) in the US which has repeatedly stated that its a 50 / 50 mix.

This has also been backed up with studies carried out in the UK by the Criminal Justice department which also confirmed the same figures.

The home office in the UK also carried out further studies that also confirmed the figures were true. In fact in all the recorded domestic violence incidents recorded in the UK and US, in 70% of those cases its the woman that initiates the physical violence.

You might want to check your facts before just you tell everyone what you "feel". It just makes you look rather silly.

reply

Considering I'm not from the US, no, I don't feel silly. In my country, women don't usually beat up on men.

I would have to argue against your 50/50 claim, which is completely ridiculous. But, just to play fair, I actually looked up the 2015 CDC report on domestic violene, and surprise surprise, female victim's vastly outweigh male victims. But by all means, please feel free to point out the specific part I missed where they mention that 50/50 split: http://www.cdc.gov/violenceprevention/nisvs/summary_reports.html

As a woman who studied Wing Chun I like to think that a female assassin in a film presents an opportunity for other female performers (trained and untrained) to showcase some skills. I think its nice to see a variety of style. While I see your points, again as a woman its nice to see new or underused talent. Even if it misses the mark.

I don't see Sucker Punch following what you said.
