I found the lead's eyebrows irritatingly bushy

They weren't the only thing that I found irritating, though. I don't know quite how I managed to sit through the entire film, which is overly long and, as others have complained, entirely predictable. I just kept willing the guy to get a grip. I lost my mother suddenly from a heart attack, but I didn't spend every waking moment thereafter shouting at people and treating them like s**t. On the contrary I was grateful that so many people were a comfort.

Broken Roads is the kind of movie which you hope will suddenly surprise you any moment now, but even the demise of grandma was pretty much anticipated from the moment he clapped eyes on her.
