Party in filthy environments?

Guys, is this common? I get the idea to have a party in cool locations but abandoned, condemned, filthy, mouldy places with only warm beer. Not my thing.

can be for kids I guess. i'm an adult and I'm not above drinking warm beers every once in a while. but i'm also a drunk who knows a few people who can't be bothered to pay an electric bill.

I wonder about that too. And they roll around on the dirty floor and casually sit on skanky ass couches. Who knows what is living in that fabric? Gross. And to hook up in those conditions? No thanks. It was one thing to throw a party there the night before. But morning came. And with morning comes sunlight so you can see how crusty your surroundings are, and they were in no hurry to leave.

I had friends in highschool doing this stuff. Abandoned buildings and houses. After you explore a bit everything goes from interesting to nasty. The novelty wears off. It was fun, but after some hours I had to go home to get a shower and clean bed.

You've obviously never been to Berlin where almost all of the most notorious techno clubs are abandoned factory buildings, shabby war bunkers, spooky ruinous mansions, etc. The creep factor is part of the appeal. Danger is sexy and so are dark corners you can retreat to with another person. There's a reason why the Berlin club scene is the most infamous in the world. You get cold beer there though (among other befogging substances).

Yeah, but Berlin isn't a common place. In general, especially in America, some teens might find a place that they consider a hideout, but the problem is those places are already taken over by squatters, meth heads, crackheads, and gang members.

Any teen that would hang out in a place like that is probably one of those and probably are hardcore drug addicts as well. Any suburban teens looking like models or hot young actors going to one of those places would find themselves beaten, robbed, raped, sold, or missing. Lol

In case you didn't notice, these weren't suburban kids. They were, to put it bluntly, trailer trash. I've known plenty of kids from my rural hometown who have and would have partied in a building like this. Nobody was beaten (aside from a few fights), robbed, raped, sold, or missing.

Eh. I was a suburban teen, and we would generally drive up to the hills to party and drink beer. However, there were a couple of abandoned buildings we would go to, or we'd sneak up on the roof of a spot where construction was going on. I don't recall anyone rolling around on the floor, but we'd bring blankets or towels and sit on those. *shrug* it's just something young people do. I was also a in my mid twenties when I moved to New Mexico, and my boyfriend at the time showed me an abandoned missile silo where he and his friends would drink in high school and college.

They're coming to get you, Barbara!

You've been watching too many afterschool specials. There are plenty of abandoned buildings to go around, not all of them have meth heads.
