4.6??? Really????

I'm not the type of guy that trashes other people's opinions, because I hate when mine are questioned, but I don't really understand how this is getting such A low rating. For me, this was as entertaining as Cabin In The Woods was when I first saw it. This film was obviously the Evil Dead remakes long lost cousin, but to me that was fun too. Anyway, whoever wants to have fun for an hour, without taking a movie to0 seriously, I highly recommend.

I enjoyed a lot too and yeah the low rating is unwarranted. But who knows what the horror genre audience likes or dislikes. Some hate gore, some judge by it, some... on and on.

It ranked in the middle. I've seen much worse, and I've seen much better.

Unlike Evil Dead, I found the characters just awful, and it made the entire film almost unbearable. I found it more akin to Shrooms, but at least that had the talking cow for a few chuckles.

I agree. The acting was not good. They threw in a bunch of dramatic background music plus noises to make it scarier. The gore factor was decent. Characters annoying. The characters on evil dead remake were annoying too, but not at this level of obnoxiousness

I'm a very harsh critic, and I too felt this deserved better than a 4.6, it was pretty brutal, and kept me watching throughout, I mean it wasn't great, but it was alright... I'd give it a 6.

Horror/sci fans on IMDb are extremely difficult to please and many aren't much better than internet trolls who hate on anything in the least bit derivative or having a familiar theme, especially if it somehow reminds them of their favorite movies. I can kind of relate. The horror genre has been very deficient in the last few decades. Still, I'm willing to lower my quality curve to find something good.

I look on Netflix and notice 95% of the horror/sci-fi genre movies have user ratings of two stars or less. Mainly because there are no big name or recognizable stars in the cast. Granted many of the overall movies on there are pretty poor quality anyway but I've seen movies on there with good stories, acting and production value. Many of these movies are undeserving of the low ratings.

agree, this movie is pretty watchable, my rating is 6.
of course the bests of Marcus Nispel (great director IMHO) are Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Friday the 13th
