No, you are not. The cast/characters for the one off episode was much better. These are cliche and stock. Dunno, maybe they wanted to make it more family friendly.

Nope, you aren't the only one. I thought the official show was much weaker, not the least because Ike was dropped in favor of "generic cute blonde" and "generic hot brunette".

Nope, the backdoor pilot was better than both the regular episodes so far. The Ike character and the Bishop played by Danny Trejo gave a promise of a quirky slant that worked and I gave it a chance because it might be outside of the norm. Not carrying those character over was a mistake. The blonde has added nothing to the story arcs and the brunette just makes for some very nice wallpaper as well. After 2 episodes I haven't deleted it from the DVR schedule yet but the thumb is hovering as the show is hoovering.

I've never watched Bones but since this sounds like it's a spin off from something on it, I might have to try and find that episode. So far I'm really liking this series - definitely going to be a new favourite.

With the cast changes, this feels like a totally different show. This show had real promise, but they took out everything that was good about it and inserted all sorts of generic cliched characters.
