Ann Heche's 'acting'

I had the worst time trying to figure out all Heche's facial contortions during the trial. Were they significant? Crucial to the plot? Then when she had spoken lines they were so mumbled and disocialive, I wondered if she was making it up as she went along.

I got the point of the film despite her performance.
