Great Film, Very Well Done

Just saw this on ABC and I have to say I'm so glad that I tuned in. This is a very well structured and well presented film that delivers a wonderful message. Faith should bond, not drive apart. It gives hope and allows us to provide hope to each other.

I was only able to watch the first half before I left for work. I have to watch the second half tomorrow after I wake up but the part I did see was very well told. It was at times hard to get the time frame when the time went by one had to surmise that time had passed. Also one had to remember that the two individual stories were in different eras and then came together. I may put it it on my "To Buy" list.

This movie was amazing. Laurence Fishburne, Martin Landau & Bradley Whitford were terrific in here. I loved the message too and the ending was pretty great too.

"I am the ultimate badass, you do not wanna `*beep*` wit' me!" Hudson in Aliens.

I agree that it was wonderful. It was touching without being maudlin, and the cast performances were fantastic.

The cast really came through but I was stunned at how good the real life performer turned out. That scene in the car was amazing.

The scene in the car brought me to tears.

Anyone with a heart will say the same thing.

yeah, its a wonderful movie, very touching and moving.at the end of the movie when henry called mitch to come up to the altar, what is the name of the song that was sang there???

Is this on DVD at all?

I'm still waiting to see this again.

So am I! I recorded it at the time it was on, then lost that recording when my "Hopper" got replaced.

But I must say that when Henry was hiding from the police, praying to God for a chance at redemption, I was on the edge of my seat with my heart in my throat. In other words, I was RIGHT THERE. Rarely have I been so engrossed in a film that I could hardly breathe, but that's how effective it was.

The whole film was done with great awareness and realism. Even though it's been at least two years since I saw it, I think I need to buy this.
