My thoughts :)
Never has a movie got to me more than this one has(with possible exceptions). I was stunned, shaken and left with a feeling of "thank God it's ONLY a movie". I thought it was brilliant, and Bill Oberst,Jr.'s performance as Simon was astounding. I wrote a review of it(which, you can see here: http://realmofunknownthings.blogspot.com/2014/03/children-of-sorrow201 4.html and be aware, there ARE SPOILERS and a little NSFW-ish).
Yes, this is an independent film and therefore doesn't have the budget of say, a movie made by a BIG film company. But I think we often over look these sorts of films for movies that have lots of bang for your buck(anything by Michael Bay, for example). And that's just sad. CoS might be a little rough around the edges, maybe. But I still enjoyed it, nonetheless.
Anyway, I believe this movie has a solid storyline and a solid cast. I can't recommend it enough, honestly. This is in my humble opinion, of course. You are free to agree or disagree. But if a movie crawls inside my skin and lays its dark little demon eggs of chaos and terror? Yeah, Jourdan McClure was right on the damn money.
And that's my $0.2
