shareThe style's a bit all over the place... Full-on comedy or comedy-drama..? Realistic or slightly surreal, à la "Green Wing"..? But, once I got into it, I enjoyed it and think it may well be a grower.

I was looking forward to this show having seen the trailers for a while, and I wasn't disappointed. There's bits of other familiar shows, one massive influence in particular seems to be 'This Life' which is no bad thing in my book.
The writing is fairly well grounded, with just enough off-the-wall snippets to keep the humour fresh. Some good characters who I got into (no mean feat after one episode), spot-on dialogue, and the promise of more to come.
Roll on next ep!!!

A really fab series and, adhering to my policy of praising broadcasters for excellent shows - in the hope that they make more of them, instead of the usual crap they churn out these days - I will be writing to Channel 4 to say so.
