A new Blood series?

Does anyone know if this something entirely new or if it's tie to the movie or the previous series?

Its a continuation of an anime show called blood+, wich was succeeded by blood-c. They are both really very good, and apparently the movie is going to cap off the series so I recommend starting from the beginning.

To further shed light: IMDB have not updated the blood-c series page. It is a 12 episode series which aired from 1 July thru 30 September last year.

Let's hope they just quit at this point. This was horrible. Infantile humor throughout. Very little darkness and a really bad story line. I've only watched Blood-The last Vampire 2000. So I was obviously expecting better animation at least.
