are far from broke. Take a drive out in the country these days and look at their big houses and shiny new toys. What a crock!

This movie is about Big Agribusiness. The Whipples aren't being presented as "poor farmers." They are rich, and they are doing questionable things to stay that way.

Most of their wealth is tied up in over priced farm equipment not ready money. I remember my brother in law buying a russian tractor years ago. It was crude but tough and cheap. He had retired from the service and raised and cut hay for sale on the side to make ends meet.

Most of the wealth is tied up in Real estate...farmland. That 200 acres would cost over $2.5 million.

I don't know if I've ever, EVER read a more uninformed statement on these boards. If that's what you really think, then you have absolutely no clue as to what farmers have to deal with, nor what they truly own and/or have in their bank accounts. Good lord!

Farming is probably the absolute last thing anyone would do if they were trying to make money. Agro business farmers "on the public tit" make peanuts. And smaller farmers make even less. You are so uninformed about them that for you to make a statement like that is completely pathetic.

Glean a little more knowledge from a book or study, bonehead, before you make another stupid statement like that. You do nothing more than make yourself look like a fool.

I guess the world needs idiots, too.
