Do we really know who greg is

Maybe I'm reading too much into it but it seems as if it is left ambiguous as to whether greg is who he says he is and whether or not the spiel about his mother is real or not or even if greg is who he claims to be.

The story he mentions when he first gets into the cab makes me wonder what his true profession really is. In addition, he seemed to know how to escape from handcuffs pretty easily!

As others on here have also mentioned it seemed like he was making the whole holy water salesman story up.

This probably leaves room for a sequel.

I think the ending would have totally rocked if we could see Greg go out and spend all that cash like a mad man, even telling some of his friends about how he managed to escape such a crazy situation by inventing a soap story on the spot and getting off with a sh!t load of money in the process.
Still I suppose Julius woulda found out about it and so the whole idea might be pretty stupid :))

Oh a serious note, Greg is very much who he said he is, the script doesn't give us any clue to believe otherwise!

I do believe that Greg has a job specializing in Psychology. He actually knows how to convince and read people but not enough to read that the cabbie wasn't who he was.

I believe that the holy water salesman was also a lie. The movie is all about deception and it has all it's characters lie about themselves, including innocent Greg.

Although he did know how to escape from handcuffs as if he had experiences like this before. But it's probably just a plot device to move things ahead.
