I just recently watched the movie after reading the book it was based upon. The movie was nowhere near as good as the book. I felt like the movie left out a lot of details and felt rushed. It also made Tessa seem like even more of a rude brat to her father. The only moving scene in the movie is when Tessa's dad breaks down, I really felt for him and felt more sympathetic to him than Tessa.
shareI agree. I thought the book was good, so much better than If I Stay (which I had read right before it). I really liked the movie but yes, the book is definitely better. The movie does its best to be slow and to dwell in moments, but I still think the book does it better. A lot of the supporting characters were more present too, i.e. better explored. The movie's still good though, for sure.
