I don't think i ever cried that much in my life for a movie ,i was crying from my eyes from my nose from my mouth from every where and especially when the dad break down i had to take my laptop to my room so no one see my face condition o.O and i am a 23 years old boy .
OMG this movies was sad and yesterday i watched the words another emotional movie so that was a lot for me in two days :)
the only movie that made me cry but not like this was "elvis and anabelle 2007" another great movie.
so did this movie made u cry like me????

It made me sob, loudly. It also made me laugh at myself for crying so strongly. Definitely the most I've cried with any movie.

I think most men found a connection with the dad, but I couldn't feel as sorry for him. I did feel sorry because he was losing his daughter and wanted to cling to every last thing that was hers the post cards and pictures that Tessa wanted to burn, but at the same time I felt he was feeling more sorry for himself than he was worried of how Tessa was feeling or what she wanted, which I understand but still. Tessa and her scenes with her dad were some of my favorite scenes.

I live in the US. It online now. I'm going to buy the movie either way when it comes out on DVD next year because it's a movie you want to have in your collection.

I just watched it and I'm still sobbing. I was expecting to cry watching this because I've read the book and it makes me cry too, no matter how many times I read it.

You can go to hell, hell, hell!

reply

I did not cry but I was very close a couple of times, maybe because my boyfriend was in the room

I felt close to crying, especially when Tessa was told the extent of her cancer. It was everywhere and her immune system would collapse. I know it didn't really happen and it's just a movie, but that was just so sad.

Yea, I did cry a bit, too. This was a very sad movie. I don't know if you'll read this, but if you do, keep an eye out for a movie called The Fault in Our Stars, which is coming out on June this year. It's a movie with a very similar plot and boasts a talented, young cast (much like this movie did). I'm telling you this because it sounds like you enjoyed the film and it had an effect on you, so I guess you might be interested in watching another movie like it. All right, well, see ya!

Here's a link to The Fault in Our Stars: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2582846/?ref_=nv_sr_1

Yes fortunately i saw the "The Fault in Our Stars" thanks for your suggestion and BTW i just saw "At First Sight (1999)" & The Village (2004) and both were very powerful emotional with great story .

I'm a 30 yr-old-man. The father breaking down saying "I don't want you to go" got me to tear up. It was acted so naturally and heartfelt by the actor. Great scene.

When I read this

and i am a 23 years old boy

I just burst out laughing. In a good way!

I cry really easily at movies, if it's even remotely sad I'll probably cry. But that's why I deliberately watch sad movies, they're like therapy for me. I cried hard during this one. Not as hard as during The Fault in Our Stars, though. I hate to be one of those countless people who bawled during that movie, but I really did. It wasn't pretty.

You heart me? What is that? Is that like I love you for pussies?
