Have they all forgotten Brenda?

I find it curious that whenever Fritz is included in an episode---no one ever asks about Brenda. You would think there would be some banter about her. Perhaps Mrs. Bacon requires a royalty payment if and when Brenda's name is mentioned lol. I hope not. I would LOVE to see Kyra Sedgwick have a guest star appearance.

Brenda has been mentioned several times on MC. Fritz has talked about how she got a job offer in DC and he mentioned her when he was having health issues in season 3. She has been referenced a few times by other members of the squad as well.

The one who has been forgotten completely is Gabriel. No one even wants to think about that annoying ass kisser

I keep trying to squint and see Fritz's left hand to see if I can see a wedding ring, but I'm old and my eyes are bad, and my TV is small...

yes he still wears his wedding ring...but Brenda very well may have taken that job in DC, which would explain why she did not appear at Provenza's wedding.

She has a new primetime ABC show coming out in 2017...I think she's done with Brenda.

I would like to see her reprise her role for just 1 episode, she would be annoying to have as a regular. If the storyline was longer both her and Pope should drop in in the aftermath of Taylor's murder or at a funeral for Taylor, I wish they would do that.

There have always been rumours that she wasn't impressed that well, let's be honest they basically continued The Closer on without her.

And some of us think the show is even BETTER without her. They've had some wonderful episodes as Major Crimes. If she thought the show would just die after she left, she was quite wrong about that. But hey, it was her choice to leave everybody else....

The Closer is still in reruns around here, but I've really lost interest in watching it. I found Brenda to be quite annoying, more often than not, and we didn't see enough of the rest of the squad.

I like Sharon a LOT, and the entire squad seems to have acquired storylines and personalities that they didn't have before. They're all like a family I'm always happy to see again.

If she thought the show would just die after she left, she was quite wrong about that.

I doubt she ever thought that, she had her own reasons for leaving and one of the main reasons was because she wanted to be closer to her family which is a totally understandable reason...she had to spend about 6 months every year filming in LA while her family lived in NYC, the work schedule was pulling her away from her family and her daughter was growing closer to her husband than she was with her because of that, it was hard for her.

Another reason she wanted to quit was because she had enough with the role, she thought the writers had taken her character as far as they could and there wasn't much left to do with her character anymore...it didn't seem like she was in any way unhappy with her role or anything like that. She simply had enough playing Brenda, which happens all the time with actors when they've played a certain character for a long time, eventually they get tired of playing the same character for so long, and Kyra had played the role of Brenda for 7 years afterall and that's a long time.

I personally love both TC and MC equally the same, although I agree that Brenda can be very annoying sometimes, but I still love TC overall just as much as I love MC, to me, neither of them is better than the other.

those were just rumors, but based on what Kyra Sedgewick herself had said in interviews, one of the main reasons she decided to leave was basically because she had enough with the role...she thought they had already done enough justice with Brenda's character and there really wasn't much more they could do for the character. Kyra had played Brenda for 7 years afterall and that's a long time, she was bound to get tired of playing that character after so many years...so it's understandable she had enough.

Another reason was the constant commute and working schedule, while they were filming the show Kyra had to spend roughly 6 months filming in LA every year while her family lived in NYC and being away from her family was hard...I remember she once said that because she was away alot filming The Closer in LA, her daughter became closer to Kevin, it must've been hard for Kyra to be so far away from her family for so many months at a time, can't really blame her for wanting to quit partially because she wanted to be closer to her family.

well Kyra has also been working on other projects since TC, and she's got a new TV show lined up for next year, so she should start filming for it soon...I don't know if they're shooting the new show in LA or not though.

clearly you haven't been paying close attention...like the others have already said, Brenda has been mentioned on the show several times already and has been referenced numerous times too.

For me personally, I the show more without Brenda, and really dont care if they mention her or not. Thinking back, most of the times that Fitz's is on screen, is right during the middle of the case, so that would not really be the right time for someone to ask about her, just my opinion of course.

I like the show much better without Brenda as well. With Brenda, it was all about her, and she solved the case by herself. With Raydor in charge now, the entire squad gets to participate equally in solving the case. Brenda has been referenced a few times over the years.

What I'm wondering if is Chief Taylor will be forgotten about. For someone who was with the franchise since day 1, they barely talked about him after they killed him off.
