grasping at straws

Personally, I expect this to be one of the greatest films of all time...watch out, Oscars...!

Do straight-to-video movies even count for the Oscars?

Ya know, I'm not sure whether there's a rule about that. I ought to look it up. XD Perhaps it's just that none have ever been worthy.

I like you, Um. I like largeness...

reply

yes it does need to be shown in a theater, it's called a qualifying run.

reply

Ahh, okay. Thanks. I figured so, but wasn't sure. Come to think of it, that does sound like a familiarish term.

reply

yeah it made only an extra 20 mill profit on its cinema release in america, then throw in the 52 mill world gross the 20 mill it got for dvd sales and then whatever it got on rentals.it was a nice little earner.

reply

Uhhh the first movie did $112million in box office.... it was a big financial success

reply

I see the future.I see ratings,under 4

reply

Who gives a darn? It's just a movie? It cost more to make than we will in our entire lifetime, but you know what? It's just a movie. You can buy this for your kids... or not. It's your choice, boy.
