Pretty sure I wrote this story. Well, one uncannily similar to this as an assignment in school years ago. Except it wasn't a tea pot.
Anyhow, carry on.

The Monkey's Paw is such a great short story. I read it in freshman year in high school (seven years ago!) and I still reference it. :)

Yeh right.. its so close to it... except i think monkeys paw would make into a more powerful movie..

There was already a version of "The Monkey's Paw" in an early 1970's Hammer Horror movie of short stories. Sorry but I can't for the life of me remember the name but I'm sure it starred Peter Cushing.
