Since I and many others have chronic pain, does that mean the teapot would just keep going off and giving us money over and over again since our pain never goes away?

Would having surgery count as a pretty good way to make non-stop money without having to hurt yourself again, since surgery can be pretty painful and takes a long time to recover from?

I know it's fiction, but I always have to bring up silly points like this whenever they come to mind.

I'm afraid you didn't follow. The teapot always wants new emotions, new pains. Otherwise after a while it starts giving out pennies. They tried going to the hospital, watching people in pain. But then they had to find something new again.

It becomes an addiction because the teapot always wants more. Hence why they related it to Hitler and the holocaust. But even that, after many deaths, wouldn't have been enough anymore.
