I've heard of two different endings.

1. The hacky "It was all in their head" twist.

2. Bella Thorne's character is innocent, but gets blamed for the murders.

I wonder which ending came first?

No one of those endings.

SPOILER:
Bella Thorne had to fight with his bother which is also a demon and killed him. His mom knew about Amityville murders and that's why she wanted to see his son alive.
