guess its a hit or miss with people

it's a miss for me, I'm just now at E but so the far the entire time I cant figure out why I'm still watching it so I'll be skipping through it soon

the segments feel really rushed to the point where there's really no climax for the stories and it falls way short of being near scary or remotely close to comedic

I was expecting modern day urban legends or at the least stories that would leave me wanting more

while writing this I've made it past H and still feel the same way I'll begin to skip through it now

if any of these shorts were to be made into a full feature film you would be looking at one to two star rated films

it's crazy that it has a 4.7 rating which is actually very good for horror genre, it really deserves around a 3 or under. I guess with it's wide variety of spoken language it excelled the higher votes though

Sadly a miss with me too. It's very sad because the concept of this film is brilliant, and I really liked the poster too. The main problem however is that almost every writer/director decided to do the bare minimum instead of actually trying to make a cool and unique story. A lot of these shorts were poorly done, and it's not because of the length, it'd due to lazy writing.

Apparently this film was actually a project done by a film school class. Obviously they're all amateurs so you gotta give them a bit of a break.

Even so, I'd like to know the name of the film school because it clearly isn't teaching them how to properly tell a story.

I doubt that, considering most of the directors are experienced and have made well known movies previously.

I loved it overall, even if I didn't love every single short.

My impression of the folks bitching about it, aside from the expected disappointment of people not caring much for the more absurdist/surrealist segments, is that the complainers are mostly folks who don't often watch horror shorts--especially horror shorts with running times of about 5 minutes or less, who are expecting to see something--specifically, something more like Creepshow, say--that this couldn't have possibly have been given the structure of it.

Most of the negative comments also seem like they're from the sorts of folks who wouldn't understand or appreciate any exhibit in a museum like New York's Whitney or London's Tate Modern.

I was just expecting to be entertained but it didn't happen, even felt a little mislead by the promotion.

understanding and appreciating something can't be confused with folks who like a movie just because of pure silly senseless scenes that weren't funny or scary or even groundbreaking new ideas, the movie had none of this.

some people always have to be that one person that loves and hypes up trash but belittles stuff that public majority like.
