R is for Removed was a bit of a disappointment.

I was glad to see Srdjan Spasojevic had made a segment here and, well... While it was pretty well-directed, it just felt very... incomplete. I mean, it had a pretty weak story, but if he had been given more time, he could've done more with it.

I think his segment was one of the better parts of the whole film so far (I'm up to "U") though I agree it felt incomplete.

That said - I don't mind it in the context of this film where that is the lesser sin than many of the other pieces which are just either lazy or dumb.

I was a bit confused. I think it was supposed to be extremely symbolic or something.

Question though, because I was half awake when I watched this segment: Did I witness, a man with his skin falling off, take his severed penis and put it in a revolver and shoot it out? Or was I way too high?

DID YOUR ASS GET ENOUGH WINGS?!

Or was I way too high?
No you weren't and that segment was an example of some of the more rubbishy segments of the anthology.🐭

Srdjan Spasojevic's , Ti West's and Japanese directors' contributions were really disappointing as i had higher expectations. I mean R for Removed was superior to most of the segments but i think he tried to compress way too much within such short time duration and his ideas remained underdeveloped, but still i expected his entry at least get a spot in my top 5 in this anthology.

How can you say that it was very symbolistic and really easy to understand where. The "man" was the director and the skin wasn't falling of but was surgically removed and contains 8mm films which created movie that the mass media liked.
In the segment the "man" director run away from the hospital like a good movie director would escape form the Hollywood standards, the bullet that came out of he's skiing would be he's argument to the media to break free.
It takes the "train" that is symbolic for changing direction and end up in a blood rain symbolising that it's not the end of he's film making career but the begging of an independent one.
