So the girl is going to adopt the kid? And with all the money stolen by the cops, I guess the parents relatives who gave them the money are pretty much broke too. Is that what we have to assume after such a bleak ending where even the so called savvy ex cop was fooled by his former colleagues as to how dirty they were?
I was also let down by the rushed ending.
The movie was going so well until that point.
The boy still knows where he lives, or at least the name of the school he attends, so he is not completely lost. I don't think the girl can keep the boy since she barely supports herself and now she doesn't have a job.
I'm OK with this questions left open for interpretation... but, really, that ending was a disappointment.
