He totally destroyed Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. This is more like a horror movie and should be rated R. Do not let your children see this or you'll end up spending lots of money on therapy for them. Burton is a sick sob and the whole "let's shock the 'normal' people because we're goths and do not fit in" theme is a tired out cliche.

So, it's not a fairytale (like Finding Nemo or Land Before Time) aimed for small (very young) children - toddlers and kindergarten age.

shareI'll admit i thought it was a kids movie when i saw the preview. Just remember to check the rating. There's been darker pg-13 movies than this lately.
