why the bad acting and terrible characters are excusable!

well according to one fanbot cultists, "its a metaphor" and "the characters are symbols"..

yes welcome to film/literature/ art in general.. all characters are symbols of some other, whether they are historical figures, or the traits of gods or heroes repeated time after time (ie the wise trickster(loki), the brave hero, the hesitant hero, etc)

but no matter how bad it is, its excusable because "its a symbol" according to burton......

faill....

fail...

Ok. You like Harry Potter and Burton is sort of Harry Potter for grown ups. So let me teach you class one about metaphors:

What do you think HP's magic wand is a metaphor for?

reply

I didn't think of it as a metaphor. A metaphor for what?

reply

Well .. a part of the male body. The HP story is really about Harry growing up, cf the exorcist etc

Burton didn't write the book, first of all. There were a few things changed, like ages/powers of a couple of characters, but not enough to change the storyline dramatically.

If you don't like Tim Burton, why watch the movies and visit the IMDb page?

Well they soon wont have any IMDB pages to troll on... makes you wonder what they'll replace those 8 house a day with..

The only good acting came from Eva green and Samuel Jackson. I can't decide if the rest was bad acting, bad script or bad directing. The CGI was TERRIBLE. The story is cool - might read the book(s?) - but the movie overall left much to be desired
