Interesting. Hope this film is good and doesn't just devolve into a shoot-em-up kind of thing.

The first film was great, it was engaging and emotional, definitely a breath of fresh air in the monster genre.
The trailer for the sequel makes it look more generic, but I have to say I did like the narration.
Too bad they changed Gareth Edwards, though. I wonder if he backed out because he was busy with Godzilla or because he didn't like the project. Or they simply didn't ask him to write and direct the new film.

Yeah. "Forrest, but not like Gump." Blasting sand bugs. F'ing poetry.

It sounded like one of the soldiers wrote it down, and that's what I liked about it. They didn't try to put some deep or eloquent words into the mouth of a marine. Not that soldiers can't be into poetry, but that way it sounded more honest and realistic.

If Monsters: Dark Continent enables us to take part in the film's narrative journey, by attaching us to the characters, it could be very rewarding.

And I think it will.

And I loved the narrative in the trailer.

narration is like;
monstaas in da hood yo.
magnets in da junkyard yo.

The trailer was dope
It gave me a vibe
It filled me with hope
It filled me with pride

It had soldiers and monsters
helicopters and cars
Humvees and gunshots
And war thugs with scars

It seemed more intense
and thrilling than the first
It seemed like it meant
to quince my constant monster thirst
