If you enjoyed the first movie, please don't watch this!

Just trust me, you'll be glad you did.

Me too.

I liked both movies as well.

I think I can save you. But who's going to save me?

reply

Yeah, this one was sadly very dull. Couldn't care less about any of the characters, and it just felt like a weak copy of every war film in the middle east like Jarhead, Black Hawk Down, and The Hurt Locker with some monsters in the background.

Seriously, unlike the first film where the aliens actually mattered to the plot and characters, they were completely unnecessary in this movie. They almost never made any real contact with them, and they hardly had any baring on the plot.

I don't care how good the special effects are, this movie sucked in almost every way. Boring characters, middling story, cliche dialog, and a monster sub-plot that pretty much goes no where.

Actually it would be pretty easy to make an argument for the monsters not mattering in the first one too. It was more about their relationship. You could replace the monsters with ANY evil force (terrorists, drug cartels, etc) and it would essentially be the same movie...

agree completely -- what a disappointment

First movie was an abomination. Watched it at daytime and barely kept my eyes open. Staring at the wall was more entertaining and engaging.

You're adopted!

First movie was an abomination.

I don't think that word means what you think it means.

All that proves is that you hardly have an attention span. Honestly though, could anyone here expect better taste out of someone like you? Especially with a name like "nipple blaster"... 

This was not a good monster movie. It was not a good war movie. It was not a good movie depicting the unraveling of the human psyche. It was nearly a good party movie in the beginning and devolved into a mess. It took pieces from several different types of movies and threw them in a bag, shook them up and poured them out into a pile of dung. What characters am I supposed to be rooting for? No one has any depth and the one guy I sort of like turns out to be just as much of an idiot as those around him. I kind of wanted them to all get eaten or crushed by the monsters, but then this would have strayed into the territory of a monster movie and that is clearly not what this is.

I knew I should have just gone out and cut the grass...

So true. First movie was total crap, this one was just ok.

reply

i agree the first one was so boring.

reply

Firstly, why the **** do you care what films other people watch?
Secondly, why advise anonymous people not to watch a film simply but because YOU didn't enjoy it?

I wish I'd read this before wasting my time on the collection of melodramatic cliches this film is
