'Darkest Night' Has US/Canada Release

Gothic Pictures International (GPI) is proud to announce the full release of "Darkest Night" in North America by Maxim Media. The film had a limited theatrical run in the western U.S. in early July and cable release on VOD.
The film is available from a variety of VOD distributors, including Google Play and Amazon Prime. DVDs are available from a variety of online retailers, including Amazon.

Maxim Media is an American film distributor based in Arizona, which specializes in releasing quality horror films. All of the theatrical trailers for the film are now posted on the "Darkest Night" Official Website's home page at:

Russ Williams, GPI's executive producer, said the foreign release of "Darkest Night" is now a certainty in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Negotiations are currently under way for release in other nations. Additional announcements will be made later, as more countries are added to the "Darkest Night" release list.

"Darkest Night" is a horror film that combines intense family and Gothic drama with lots of suspense and scares. It had its U.S. premiere to critical acclaim in San Francisco at the Filipino-American Cinema (FACINE) film festival on October 20, 2012.

Congratulations should go to all members of the cast and crew, according to Williams, who have made "Darkest Night" an unqualified success, including the film's star, the Michigan-based actor DJ Perry.

GPI, founded in November 2010 by a group of film-makers from Asia and the U.S., has chosen as its primary mission to produce and encourage quality, international Gothic and horror films in the U.S. and Asia. The film company will be opening a permanent office in Los Angeles later this year.
