Wasn't there an older Asian horror movie called The Cat

I could swear I saw a really bad Asian horror flick called The Cat. I think it was made in the 80s or 90s? Anybody familiar with this. The effects were horrible-- in one "cat attack" scene it was obvious that somebody just physically tossed the cat into the frame!
