What's the message in this movie?

1.Unmarried Korean pet shop employees are really, really lonely and think they are having actual conversations with cats.

2.Don't be mean to cats (The movie implies Koreans mistreat cats. That includes make-up and hair dye, and holding them in stupid positions and calling it cute while they are trying to get away. Also not using cat carriers while walking down busy streets.)

3. When you have a stray cat problem, DON'T lock them in a closed boiler room to starve to death. Instead shoo them outside and THEN seal up the entrances to the room. Afterwards, go into the boiler room every so often to check the boilers and see if there is still anything trapped.

4. People who kill cats beat old ladies.

5. Claustrophobia makes you telepathic.

6. Being nice to cats makes ghosts hide under your bed and in your closets.

7. Holding a long-dead little girl reconciles you to your mentally ill father.

You may also ponder having a vision of your mentally ill father drinking milk out of the cat bowl, with a ladle. I am sure the ladle was important.
