Here's where you're missing the point of what I was saying; Sonny Munroe was the main character of "Sonny With a Chance," regardless of whether or not she was the star of So Random. Without that clear connection to SWaC, the content of "So Random" doesn't work. You just have Tiffany Thornton, Doug Brochu, Brandon Mychal Smith, Allysin Ashley Arm, and Sterling Knight, playing the characters they played on "Sonny," and doing sketch comedy. Tiffany's pregnancy could've ended her run on the show, but they'd still need a back story for why Tawni isn't on the show anymore. The same goes for other characters.

Plus, there's the lack of backstage shenanigans that "Sonny" had. What you've got is essentially a scenario where the cast of "All That," would have Lori Beth Denberg, Kenan Thompson, Kel Mitchell, Danny Tambarelli, Katrina Johnson, etc., playing fictional characters doing the same sketch comedy.
